  • Problem Leaking Catalyst or Resin from weep hole on top of Block.
    • Possible Causes: Packing Nut needs tightened.
      Secondary Seal worn or damaged.
      Solution: Tighten both Packing Nuts 5104-8-1. Rebuild Block. Replace
      Secondary Seals 5104-3-1. Inspect Center Spacer 5104-10-1
      and Relief Spacers 5104-4-1 for damage.
  • Problem Leaking Material or Catalyst into Actuator.
    • Possible Causes: Weep holes are plugged.
      Solution: See Above.
  • Problem Resin leaking out front of Block. Resin leaking out around Packing Nut.
    • Possible Causes: Resin Seal/Valve Rod are worn or damaged.
      Packing Nut is loose.
      Solution: Rebuild or replace Resin Seal 5104-5-1. Inspect Rod for
      damage. Tighten Packing Nuts.
  • Problem Catalyst is leaking out from the front of Block. Catalyst leaking from around Packing Nut.
    • Possible Causes: Catalyst Seal is damaged.
      Valve Rod is worn or damaged.
      Packing Nut is loose.
      Solution: Rebuild or replace Catalyst Seal 5104-6-1. See Above.
  • Problem Gun is not actuating properly.
    • Possible Causes: Valve Rod upside-down.
      O-ring in Actuator is worn or damaged.
      Actuating Stem not in brass bushing of Actuator Piston.
      Solution: Actuating Stem should go through Valve Rod to meet threads.
      Replace O-ring O-V-020.
      Inspect Actuator Cylinder for scarring or damage.
      Remove block assembly and put stem in hole of brass bushing in
      Actuator.
  • Problem Leaking Catalyst and/or Resin around Mix Housing.
    • Possible Causes: Cap Screws are not tight.
      Mix Housing Seal damaged or worn.
      Solution: Tighten Cap Screw 7102-1-6.
      Replace Seal 5104-12-1.
  • Problem Resin and Catalyst not mixing properly.
    • Possible Causes: Mixer and/or Mix Housing worn or damaged.
      Needs more mixer.
      Material is cold.
      Solution: Replace worn parts.
      Add Mixer Extensions.
      Heat up material, preferably between 70-80 degrees, some
      material may require higher temps.
  • Problem No Catalyst.
    • Possible Causes: Turbulent/Critical Mixer worn or smashed.
      Pressed against injector.
      Solution: Replace Mixer.
      Hand tighten Spray Tip Retaining Ring.
    • Possible Causes: Injector is frozen shut or plugged.
      Solution: Disassemble and clean Injector.
    • Possible Causes: Catalyst Seal installed incorrectly.
      Solution: Remove and reinstall lining hole correctly with Block using 6705
      3-1 Alignment Tool.
    • Possible Causes: Valve Rod and/or Block ports plugged.
      Solution: Disassemble and remove blockage.
    • Possible Causes: Catalyst Line plugged.
      Solution: Replace or clean if possible.
    • Possible Causes: Check Valve plugged (if applicable).
      Solution: Clean or replace Check Valve 5104-04-01.
  • Problem No Material or Catalyst.
    • Possible Causes: Valve Rod not actuating.
      Solution: Refer to actuating problem.
  • Problem No Resin or Gelcoat.
    • Possible Causes: Tip is plugged.
      Solution: Remove and clean using plastic picks to prevent damaging tips.
    • Possible Causes: Mix Housing plugged or kicked off.
      Solution: Remove Mix Housing and inspect Mixer, Distribution Ring, and
      front outlet of Block for blockage.
      Clean and/or replace.
    • Possible Causes: Resin Seal installed incorrectly.
      Solution: Remove and reinstall lining holes correctly with Block using
      6705-4-1 Alignment Tool.
    • Possible Causes: Valve Rod and/or Block ports plugged.
      Solution: Disassemble and remove blockage.
  • Problem Trigger is sticking.
    • Possible Causes: Trigger Lock is on backwards.
      Solution: Cut-out on Trigger Lock should face away from hand. Right
      hander to the left. Left hander to the right.
    • Possible Causes: Trigger Valve Assembly Stem and/or O-rings are dry or sledged
      up.
      Solution: Remove Keeper Screw F-FS-540-08 and slide Valve Assembly
      and Retainer out of handle.
      Clean and lubricate with 6706-3-1 Trigger Retainer, Handle
      Cylinder, Valve Assembly, and all O-rings.
      Inspect O-rings for damage.
    • Possible Causes: Insufficient air pressure.
      Solution: Air pressure should be minimum 80 PSI.
      Minimum 3/16" ID hose for Gel or Wetout.
      Minimum 3/8" ID minimum for Chop Guns.
    • Possible Causes: Spring is compressed or missing.
      Solution: Replace 04017 Spring.
  • Problem Air Leaking from Exhaust Slot.
    • Possible Causes: Toggle Washer is upside down or missing/damaged.
      Solution: Center Bow should be up with outer edge down on Porting Plate.
    • Possible Causes: Slide Valve and/or Porting Plate scored, worn, or warped.
      Solution: Clean and inspect if worn.
      Replace scoring or warped.
      Using 600 grit sand paper, lay on surface and sand in circular
      motion alternating pressure points to keep even. Do this until
      plate is evenly sanded.
      If scoring is deep, replace parts.
    • Possible Causes: O-ring on Actuator or Piston is leaking.
      Solution: Replace O-ring.
      Inspect Cylinder for scarring.
