Now you can benefit from complete automation of FRP/GRP panels. The Magnum Venus Plastech Reciprocator is designed for automatic high-volume production of flat panels or sheets using a chopper and/or gelcoat gun. The gun traverses over a moving mold or table, distributing catalyzed resin & chopped fiberglass evenly on the surface of a carrier film, such as mylar or prepped mold surface. The M.V.P. patented FIT ® system reduces waste & fuming during the fully automated sprayup & rollout processes.

Precision means savings: The heavy duty carriage reverses virtually instantly, with only a 7-millisecond reverse time to recover the normal gunhead speed. This feature requires no gun triggering, allowing for uniform thickness which contributes to the Reciprocator's high production rate. Your result: parts are produced efficiently with uniform laminates every time.

Automatic Rollout: Using four strands of roving with the High-Volume Chopper Gun, the M.V.P. Reciprocator can achieve outputs of up to 2700 feet2 (250m2) per hour, with a 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) laminate at 40% glass content. At 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) laminate, an output of 1350 feet2 (125m2) per hour is possible*.

The M.V.P. Reciprocator system can be designed for various stages of the application process, from gelcoat application to heat curing of gelcoat to resin/fiberglass application to automatically consolidating the glass/resin layer to expel trapped air.
