Electronic Fiber Tensioner

Tensioning system is closed loop controlled with remote tension sensors. Tension ranges at the spools are 1 to 10 lbs. with adjustment in 0.1 lb. increments with an accuracy of +/- 0.05 lb. over the full range, payout or take up speeds with fiber tension displayed. Payout speeds range up to 300 ft/min.

Fiber exits the creel at 0.750" spacing roller to roller overall. The tensioning system is housed in an enclosed creel with an exhaust fan that has replaceable filters, and is mechanically linked to travel with the carriage. An air-knife is provided at the rollers exiting the creel to blow loose filaments from the tows with a debris collector.
