PRECISION HIGH VOLUME COMES TO INFUSION
Kent, WA - Titan S4 High-Volume Infusion System Rounds Out Systems In Flex Moldng Process
Flex Molding Process, the new comprehensive package of systems, accessories and training released by Magnum Venus Plastech at the 2010 JEC Exhibition includes a new highly-precise high-volume Infusion system called the Titan S4.
The Titan S4 is a high-output infusion meter/mix system that is ideal for use with UP and VE resin systems. Titan S4 features a range of outputs from as low as 0.5 liters per minute, to an outstanding maximum of 70 litres per minute making it ideally suited to all infusion moulding sizes.
Titan S4 features precise catalyst ratio control over the whole range of outputs, and allows the operator to adjust catalyst ratio settings from the instrument panel at any time during mold fill. In addition, four independent fluid mixing channels means that four different levels of resin reactivity may be selected, if required, to feed different mould infusion zones.
Titan S4 is designed with pure pneumatic control and operation, with the ability to insure that outlet pressures are maintained at no more than the normal nylon mold feed pipe working pressures.
Each of Titan S4’s four resin channels can deliver up to 10 infusion inlets, and each are independently pressure controlled at the mold face using simple, but very effective, localized Pneumatic Pressure Vacuum Sensors designed specifically for use with infusion. This allows up to 40 mold inlets to be coupled to the Titan S4, and simultaneously injected without operator intervention. Each channel has its own real-time output counter and speed control.
As the infusion draws to an end each PPVS will, in turn, become redundant and can be safely flushed independently without the need to stop remaining channels injecting. There is also no need to disconnect any of the feed lines which remain to be reused, absolutely clean and dry, for the following infusion cycle.
The Titan S4 represents a new era in Infusion technology. It offers significantly greater control, dramatically reduces material needs and waste, all while providing a cleaner, safer and more controlled approach to resin infusion direct machine injection.
