MVP RELEASES NEW SINGLE COMPONENT INJECTION SYSTEM
Kent, WA - Magnum Venus Plastech Releases New System for Injection of Single Component Resins
Magnum Venus Plastech is excited to announce the release of an innovative new system for the injection of single component resins - the V6SC Thermoject Injection System. The V6SC Thermoject Injection System has already been sent to a premier aerospace manufacturer in Ireland for field testing, and the results greatly exceeded expectations. The customer is thrilled with how this system has performed and will very likely incorporate it permanently into their production.
To meet today's demand and processing requirements for injection of single component resin systems (i.e. single part epoxy materials such as Hexcel's RTM6 and Cytec Engineered Materials), MVP has engineered an innovative new system featuring highly precise metering technology and innovative re-circulating water temperature control of all the fluid sections.
The New V6SC ThermoJect Injection System provides infinite control of pressure and flow with accurate temperature control prior to reaching the mould cavity.
This new water temperature control approach ensures no over temperature levels are reached as is the risk with previous electrical heater jacket systems, and provides longer pot life of unused resin.
The V6SC ThermoJect is powered entirely by pneumatics making the system more rugged and safe to operate. The hot water temperature control source can be placed many meters away from the moulding area and connected to the machine by 10mm flexible pipes.
The pressure control set point can be infinitely adjusted from 0.3 to 8.0 bar.
All resin fluid sections, including the pump, external pipes and flow direction valves and pressure control system, are temperature controlled using a common recirculation flow of hot water. This system can go from start-up to optimal heat in approximately 15 minutes.
MVP offers the following options to enhance the V6SC Thermoject Injection System: Full Data logging with USB removable memory, large screen digital active system, mimic display incorporating embedded PC featuring real time flow, pressure and temperature indication and valve position semaphores, user selection of process graphs and calibration screens, and customized screen designs.
To operate, the system needs only a clean air supply, and MVP can supply the temperature control day tank, and a remote PID controlled water heating system, which assists in meeting ATEX and CE standards.
