MVP JOINS CLOSED MOLD ALLIANCE
Clearwater, FL - Magnum Venus Plastech (M.V.P. Joins with Composites Industry's Leaders to Form Closed Mold Alliance
Clearwater, FL - Magnum Venus Plastech is pleased to announce their partnership with three of the Composites Industry's leading closed mold manufacturers and suppliers, to bring comprehensive Light RTM to North America.
M.V.P., Composites One, RTM North and FormaShape have come together to form the Closed Mold Alliance. This alliance was designed to bring the most comprehensive training, tooling, equipment and materials to Composites manufacturers interested in moving into the more environmentally friendly and efficient closed mold process.
With EPA standards continually changing to bring styrene emissions down to lower and lower levels, manufacturers are forced to look at bringing new techniques and technology into their production to meet these standards. The most successful method to date to meet these tightening standards is closed mold, or Light RTM.
The four companies in the Closed Mold Alliance represent the best the industry has to offer when it comes to expertise, technology and materials.
Magnum Venus Plastech has consistently been ahead of the competition in anticipating direction changes for the industry, and designing today the innovative mix/meter dispense systems that will be needed tomorrow. Composites One is North America's leading supplier of raw materials and products from over 400 Industry Suppliers. RTM North has long been recognized as North America's leading expert in Light RTM Tooling, and FormaShape, a division of Whitewater Composites, has become the leading production company in North America.
The Alliance will initially offer manufacturers closed mold education and expert consultation. Customized tooling can then be engineered and produced and used with project specific materials and equipment. In-house start-up assistance and training will also be offered. Currently in development are several educations programs that will be presented at the Closed Mold University, featuring theory and hands-on training of the process.
"Magnum Venus Plastech is excited to be a part of the Alliance because we can now offer closed mold manufacturers a total solution," said Jeff Austad, Vice President of Sales and Distribution. "We are certain that this association of leading companies will help move closed molding to the forefront of the industry providing new opportunities to manufacturers in North America."
