M.V.P. Introduces New Adhesive System
Kent, WA - Magnum Venus Plastech (M.V.P.) Introduces New 1:1 Adhesives & Sealants System Featuring Patriot Technology
The newest addition to the MVP Patriot™ family of products is the 1:1 Patriot Chop Check Adhesives Application System, shown at the JEC Exhibition in Paris. This system was designed to handle the hardest and most critical applications which require very accurate small shot sizes of mixed metered materials.
The combination of the balanced Patriot Chop Check Fluid Sections, balanced Air Motor and the 1:1 Pro Gun valve rod design are the keys to achieving excellent metering performance with medium viscosity adhesive, sealant and 1:1 silicone materials.
The first key is the Patriot Metering Piston, which has a seal design that eliminates the need to ever replace a worn fluid cylinder - the most expensive part in any reciprocating pump when using abrasive materials.
Second is the 7" Powerslide Powerhead, the power driving the system. This powerhead features a mechanical linkage used for shifting the motor top to bottom (pump reversal) that does not deplete power from the motor during the shifting. Instead, the Powerslide features fast pump reversals, and a balanced air motor that allows for a steady, uniform delivery of a bead of material.
Next, this system features Stainless Steel Fluid Sections with the option of deep induction heat hardened displacement rods with a hard chrome layer for superior wear resistance. Each of the two material platforms includes pneumatic compensating cylinders. If the fluid levels vary between the two containers, the pneumatic cylinders self-adjust to the material levels automatically during the pump priming of materials. The material plungers include two individual seals with a thermo plastic back-up ring which prevents material bypass between the seals and bucket. The modular bucket plunger design allows for replacing one damaged seal, rather than the more expensive replacement of a single piece double lip seal design.
And, lastly, the unique 1:1 Pro Gun. The Pro Gun features a pneumatic trigger, removable mix chamber, simple maintenance design and the option for robotic and shot size control operation. The static removable mix chamber on the Pro Gun ensures that materials only come into contact with each other at the static mixer. If the operator forgets to flush and air-purge, it's not a problem. The operator would only need to replace an inexpensive static mixer. The Pro Gun handle is designed to be easily converted to an optional robotic mount pad for automatic shot size controls. MVP has made flushing and purging this gun even easier by placing an "easy to reach" 3-way ball valve on the hose set.
