Reduced Maintenance and Rapid Access Design (R.A.D.) Offered in Maximus Gun
Clearwater, FL
Improved performance in filled resins applications, and a lightweight design hit the market with the Magnum Venus Products Maximus Gun. M.V.P. made the official announcement today of a new gun using the patent allowed FIT (Fluid Impingement Technology), called the Maximus Gun. The company unveiled the new gun at the CFA Composites 2001 Exhibition. M.V.P. will officially release this product to their Distribution Network during the Global Distributor Conference Nov. 7 - 10, 2001 at its Kent, Washington facility. "The Maximus Gun is ideal for filled resins applications, allowing for larger porting and straight-through material flow", said Vice-President of new Product Development Tom Hedger. The gun will mix resin and catalyst, chop fiberglass and spray both catalyzed resin and glass. Major improvements in the new gun include a solvent resistant Hardened stainless steel 440c body, light weight design (over a pound lighter than any competitor's gun), carbide needle seat, and simplified operation. The Maximus Gun incorporates Rapid Access Design (R.A.D.) allowing for quick replacement of gun seals. In addition, the simplified design has fewer parts than its predecessor, keeping maintenance costs to a minimum.
Using the newly patent allowed FIT technology the Maximus Gun has the lowest emissions of any gun on the market, meeting and exceeding all MACT and EPA emissions compliance standards. With less over-spray there is less clean up and significant material savings.
The Maximus Gun is destined to revolutionize filled resins applications.
